Job summary

Hydro is seeking a Key Account Manager to drive profitable growth and strengthen strategic customer relationships across Northern California. This role manages and expands key accounts, develops new business opportunities, and positions Hydro’s extrusion, fabrication, finishing, and thermal solutions to meet customer and market needs.

As part of Hydro Extrusion North America’s Building & Construction region, the KAM serves as the primary commercial partner for assigned customers and prospects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive sales and marketing, including key account management and strategy development.
• Direct experience in building & construction market; aluminum extrusion experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute commercial strategies that grow market share and profitability.
• 50-65% travel or 3.5 of 5 working days per week.
• English required; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow a portfolio of strategic building/construction and industrial customers in Northern California.
• Develop account plans to expand market share and profitability.
• Build a pipeline of opportunities in extruded aluminum, fabrication, finishing, thermal solutions.
• Understand customer applications, project cycles, buying processes, and growth priorities.
• Lead commercial discussions: quotations, pricing, contracts, forecasts and profitability.
• Coordinate with service, operations, planning, engineering, and credit teams for onboarding and execution.
• Provide clear communication on lead times, outages, order status, and recovery plans.
• Maintain accurate forecasts, budgets, market maps, and pipeline in Salesforce.
• Follow up on quotations, approvals, samples, tooling, and PO timing to move opportunities forward.
• Support collections, dispute resolution, and service recovery when needed.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer investment plans.
