Great Minds, a mission-driven education company, is seeking a remote Proposal Writer to coordinate with the Proposals and Adoptions Manager on state adoptions and RFPs for K-12 materials. The role requires highly developed writing and editing skills and the ability to multitask across several projects with strict deadlines.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of K-12 proposal writing experience, be detail-oriented, and collaborate effectively with team members to achieve complex goals.

Qualifications

• Superior writing skills with demonstrated proposal writing ability (writing sample required).
• 3-5 years’ experience in a K-12 proposal writing role is highly preferred.
• Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent copy-editing skills.
• Proficient at establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
• Positive and collaborative team player.
• CRM software experience; Salesforce preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and editing tools like Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze RFIs/RFPs/RFQs and state adoption documentation for requirements.
• Develop clear, concise state adoption submissions and RFP proposal language.
• Collaborate with Proposal Team to determine priorities and coverage needs.
• Complete content sections for state adoption bid materials and RFPs.
• Understand and communicate state standards requirements to Sales and content teams.
• Manage completion of all assigned RFPs and state adoption documentation to deadlines.
• Create outlines, templates, proofread, prepare drafts and final editions, schedule meetings, and track progress.
