Job summary

Cengage is seeking a NGL K12 Field Sales Consultant to join our remote team serving Colorado. You will engage educators and administrators, present digital and print products, and work toward annual sales goals while building strategic territory plans.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and teaching or education sales experience. You will forecast activity, report on deals, network at conferences, and travel light; lifting 50 lbs may be needed for materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree - Minimum of 2 years of teaching, and education sales preferably in the publishing industry.
• Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement performance.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions.
• Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with current and prospective customers, internal business partners, colleagues, and management.
• Documented territory management and organizational skills.
• Strong competency in the use of business technologies, CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to transport materials to customer locations; lifting 50 lbs unaided.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans.
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and historical data.
• Participate in network building opportunities within territory, including conferences, group presentations, and industry functions.
• Other duties as needed.
