Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking an Academic Administrator/Principal to guide VSVA's educational, administrative and counseling activities in a predominantly online environment.

You will work with Master and Lead Teachers to align programs with state standards and ensure a high-quality, data-driven instructional model. Ideal candidates hold a master's degree in education or business, with multiple years' leadership experience and the ability to travel up to 20% of the time as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business, education or related field.
• Five years of educational experience.
• One year of supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Ability to clear required background check.

Responsibilities

• Ensure conformance of educational programs to state and local standards.
• Research and implement non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards.
• Manage teaching and administrative staff; oversee Master and Lead Teachers.
• Articulate school mission and vision for a virtual/remote environment.
• Coordinate with teachers, students and parents regarding educational and behavioral issues.
• Oversee Expulsions and withdrawals with Enrollment.
• Ensure compliance with laws, including special education requirements.
• Develop and oversee the Academic Improvement Plan.
