Job summary

Stride K12’s Volunteer State Virtual Academy (VSVA) seeks an Academic Administrator/Principal to lead educational, administrative and counseling activities for students in a predominantly online setting. You will supervise Master and Lead Teachers, align programs with state standards, and advance an innovative, data-driven instructional model.

The role requires a Master’s degree, 5 years of educational experience, and supervisory background, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business, education or related field AND
• Five (5) years of educational experience AND
• One (1) year of supervisory experience OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to clear required background check

Responsibilities

• Ensures conformance of educational programs to state and local standards through evaluation, development and coordination.
• Manages teaching and administrative staff and programs.
• Leads articulation of the school's mission and vision for stakeholder alignment.
• Supports a virtual/remote work environment using appropriate communication technologies.
• Coordinates with teachers, students, and parents on educational/behavioral issues.
