Job summary

Telos Corporation is seeking a network solutions engineer to design and integrate secure SD-WAN deployments for DoD and government networks. The position is based remotely with Ashburn, Virginia, with travel up to 70%.

You will conduct site surveys, configure wired/wireless LANs, document designs and installation instructions, train technicians and junior engineers, and ensure configurations meet stringent security standards.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline or 5–7 years’ equivalent experience.
• DoD 8140 Cyber IT Workforce compliant (Security+ or equivalent).
• Juniper professional certification (JNCIP/JNCIE) or equivalent experience.
• Extensive networking, LAN/WAN design, security, and documentation experience.
• Strong MS Office/Visio writing and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of TR, CAT6, and wiring standards; BICSI is a plus.
• Experience with 802.11 wireless tech and Aruba certification is a plus.
• Wired network concepts (router, switch, VPN) and SD-WAN knowledge.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% and ability to work with government clients.

Responsibilities

• Install, integrate, operate and maintain secure LAN/WAN networks.
• Perform site surveys to plan device placement and materials.
• Create detailed design, deployment, and wiring documentation.
• Lead teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Test and validate wireless and wired networks for performance and security.
• Provide and author technical documentation and installation instructions.
• Travel to customer sites and liaise with military/government personnel.
