Job summary

Telos Corporation is seeking a senior network systems engineer focused on enterprise wireless and wired networks. The role involves design, site surveys, hardware/software integration, and hands-on implementation across routers, switches, firewalls and access points.

You will work with senior engineers, maintain security protocols (WPA2/3, 802.1x), perform RF analysis with Ekahau, and produce comprehensive documentation. Travel up to 40–60% and US citizenship required.

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 Cyber IT Workforce compliant (Security+ or equiv).
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or experience (8-10 years).
• Experience in general networking and network administration, upgrade and operations.
• Good technical writing skills with established experience producing reports using the Microsoft Office Suite including Visio.
• An understanding of telecom room (TR), CAT 6, crimps, and wiring standards; BICSI a plus.
• Experience with team leading, site survey, site installation and configuration of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wireless Network equipment.
• Exposure to enterprise wireless systems (e.g., Cisco, Cambium, Ruckus).
• Understanding of wireless security practices and authentication methods; NAC is a plus.
• Use Ekahau for measuring and diagnostic equipment to test and optimize wireless systems.
• Understanding of wired networks including routers, switches, VPN, VLANs, QoS.

Responsibilities

• Identify, gather and review requirements for wired/wireless LAN design and implementation.
• Perform site surveys to design networks and identify device placement and materials.
• Conduct wireless site surveys and RF analysis using Ekahau, AirMagnet, etc.
• Create and deliver documentation of design, floorplans, signal strength maps and integration approach.
• Lead and coordinate work of others including team members and subcontractors.
• Stay updated with industry standards (Wi‑Fi 6/6E/7) and security policies.
