Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our technology team. This entry-level role is designed for recent graduates and early-career developers who want real-world engineering experience while working with modern development technologies in a fully remote environment.

You will work with senior engineers to develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications and APIs, write clean code, and participate in Agile workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of software development experience, including internships or personal projects.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#).
• Understanding of OOP, data structures and algorithms, REST APIs, SQL databases, and Git.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, plus good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications and backend services.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Participate in debugging, testing, and code reviews.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs.
• Work with SQL databases and data structures.
• Use Git/GitHub for source-code management.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams.
• Troubleshoot application issues and implement fixes.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Learn and work with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
