Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking a Junior Python Developer in Atlanta, GA for a full-time role. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or early-career IT professional who is passionate about software development, Python programming, automation, APIs, and modern applications.

You will develop Python-based solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include building RESTful APIs, writing clean Python code, and working with databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 1–4 years of professional experience in software development or related technical role.
• Strong programming skills in Python and understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software development principles.
• Familiarity with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI is a plus.
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and web application architecture.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Atlanta, GA for paid training and travel/relocation as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and software solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable Python code following industry best practices.
• Collaborate with software developers, data engineers, QA engineers, and other technical teams.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Work with databases and write SQL queries to support application functionality.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving software development standards.
• Follow software development best practices, including version control and Agile methodologies.
