Job summary

Supabase is seeking a JS SDK Engineer to own core parts of how developers interact with the platform from JavaScript and TypeScript. You’ll work on database queries, auth, storage, realtime subscriptions, and edge functions across runtimes and publish dual ESM/CJS.

This is a library-authoring role with open collaboration and a focus on scalable developer tooling. The role thrives in async, fast-paced environments, building tools that scale to millions of developers and AI coding agents.

Qualifications

• Expert-level TypeScript with advanced generics and type inference.
• Experience authoring or maintaining a public library with a public API.
• Experience participating in open-source projects and maintainer responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve JS/TS SDKs for the Supabase platform.
• Triage inbound issues and review external contributions in public repos.
• Design in public: RFCs, migration guides, and release notes.
