Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an experienced ETL Engineer with deep expertise in Java Spring Batch to support a large-scale modernization initiative focused on decommissioning Informatica workflows. This contract role is remote with W2 employment and competitive hourly rates.

You will analyze legacy ETL processes, translate complex business logic into modern data pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver scalable ETL solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering with focus on Java and Spring Batch.
• Experience developing enterprise ETL/batch processing applications.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Artifactory.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS (ECS, ECR, EC2).
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience migrating legacy ETL solutions (Informatica preferred).
• Understanding data integration, data quality, and reconciliation techniques.
• Experience in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing Informatica workflows and ETL processes to understand business logic and transformations.
• Design, develop, and enhance Java Spring Batch applications for enterprise-scale ETL processing.
• Translate legacy ETL workflows into modern batch processing solutions.
• Develop robust data transformation, validation, and reconciliation logic.
• Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and app teams to define migration requirements.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and accelerate analysis.
• Troubleshoot batch processing issues and optimize performance for high-volume data.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing, and production support.
• Create technical documentation detailing ETL workflows, data mappings, and migration approaches.
