Job summary

Dotmatics, a Siemens company, seeks a Java Developer to join the Geneious Prime team in a full-time role. You will contribute to both front-end and back-end development, build tools for managing biological data, and integrate algorithms for sequence analysis within a cloud-friendly, scalable platform.

The role emphasizes collaboration with scientists and developers, with a strong focus on delivering robust software and participating in Agile processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science and/or 2+ years of relevant working experience.
• Knowledge of Biology is not required.
• Experience with Java frameworks & libraries.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and modern development practices.

Responsibilities

• Integrate new algorithms for analysing sequence data.
• Build user-friendly tools for managing biological data and cloud integration.
• Develop and maintain Geneious Prime and other Java-based software solutions.
• Collaborate with colleagues and customers to establish requirements and iterate on designs.
• Support testing, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork as needed.
