Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Software Engineer II to independently develop and aid in the design of customer- and associate-focused software. You will join a dynamic team that grows technical and leadership skills through building, deploying, and supporting production applications.

The role includes configuration, security, resilience, and production monitoring work. Responsibilities include delivering secure, scalable software, collaborating in agile processes, and creating meaningful dashboards

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
1-3 years of relevant work experience.
GoLang and backend API development experience required.
Experience in Grafana, Prometheus and Google Cloud Platform.
Experience in writing SQL queries against a relational database.
Front-end tech such as HTML, CSS and Javascript/Typescript frameworks.
Experience in an object-oriented language (preferably Java).
Experience in PostgreSQL and React.
Experience in relational or NoSQL databases.
Cloud computing techniques experience.
Modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques.
Exposure to unit, functional, destructive and performance tests.

Responsibilities

Plan and align in Agile processes and partner with others to meet objectives.
Create dashboards, logging, alerting, and proactive issue responses.
