Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to independently develop and continuously redesign a product to meet customer and associate needs.

You will join a dynamic team and contribute to architecture, security, and production monitoring while mentoring colleagues and driving high-quality software. Responsibilities include delivering production-grade software, collaborating in Agile processes, and shaping technical directions across teams.

Qualifications

3+ years of software development experience.
Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript frameworks.
Proficiency in an object-oriented language (preferably Java) with frameworks like Spring Boot or Quarkus.
Experience designing, developing, and supporting production-scale distributed systems and microservices.
Experience designing and integrating high-throughput APIs using RESTful services, gRPC, and asynchronous patterns.
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) and Kubernetes or similar container platforms.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software with a focus on delivery and value.
Collaborate with team members in Agile processes to ensure user stories are valuable and testable.
Support and mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions across teams.
Participate in security, resilience, performance tuning, and production monitoring tasks.
