Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead a team that builds and designs customer- and associate-facing software. You will influence product and tool selection, drive security and performance improvements, and grow junior engineers within an agile environment.

As a core player on the product team, you will contribute to high-availability architectures, monitoring, and team growth, while delivering production-ready code and robust test suites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years preferred in site reliability engineering or related field.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong frontend skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of security frameworks for authn/authz.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to build and design customer- and associate-facing products.
• Help in product and tool selection, configuration, security, resilience, and performance tuning.
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software with a focus on delivering business value.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural diagrams and documentation.
