Alignerr is seeking a Japanese Language Expert to help evaluate and improve AI systems for language learning. Your linguistic background will shape how AI understands and responds in Japanese, impacting learners worldwide.

This remote, hourly contract offers minimum 15 hours per week and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge language education projects. Collaboration with project leads will be asynchronous, enabling flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Japanese.
• Experience teaching Japanese or evaluating learner language.
• Familiar with CEFR frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated Japanese speech and text for linguistic accuracy and educational quality.
• Assess learner speech and writing across CEFR levels Pre-A1 through B2+.
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI tutoring and language-learning models.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and language experts.
