Job summary

e4health is seeking an Outpatient Coder to accurately abstract data into client EMR systems, following ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines as well as CMS directives. Performs data entry and queries physicians when needed to ensure high coding accuracy.

This remote, non-exempt position requires 3+ years of coding experience, Epic and 3M experience, and a CIRCC credential, with a strong focus on productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• AAPC CIRCC credential required.
• Extensive IVR coding experience; Cardiology and Vascular.
• Minimum 3 years coding experience; Trauma Level 1 and Academic Teaching facility experience preferred.
• Epic and 3M experience.

Responsibilities

• Assigns ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes and modifiers to hospital accounts per workflow.
• Abstracts and enters coded data for statistical and reporting needs.
• Queries physicians to clarify conflicting/incomplete clinical information.
• Communicates documentation improvement opportunities to CDI and Revenue Cycle teams.
• Maintains productivity and quality standards.
