Job summary

TechnologyAdvice, based in Nashville, Tennessee, is hiring an IT Support Engineer to own daily IT support, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive security and access-management initiatives across Mac, Windows, and cloud environments.

You will partner with the IT team to prioritize projects, manage hardware logistics, and optimize onboarding processes while supporting a remote-first, flexible work culture for a growing United States team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT experience across end-user support, security, networks, and remote environments.
• Experience in a SaaS-centric environment using Office 365 or Google Workspace to support 100+ team members.
• Background supporting both Mac and Windows environments for end users.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills with the ability to investigate unfamiliar issues beyond predefined steps.
• Ability to think strategically and propose IT operations improvements.
• Demonstrated ownership and sound judgment, with clear risk communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Agile professional who can adapt strategies to drive business needs.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day IT support including ticket management and troubleshooting.
• Investigate complex or unfamiliar issues and determine root causes beyond guides.
• Coordinate priorities with the IT team and maintain consistent support practices.
• Configure and support networks, Google Workspace, and device-management platforms across Mac and Windows.
• Improve onboarding, offboarding, security, and access-management processes.
• Manage hardware logistics including procurement, inventory, repairs, and upgrades.
• Oversee technology-vendor relationships for reliable service and value.
• Identify recurring issues and lead improvement projects with clear communication.
