Kensoft is seeking an Entry-Level IT Support Specialist to join our remote team in a part-time capacity. You will help users with technical issues, answer questions, and learn IT support fundamentals while delivering friendly, patient service.

This role is ideal for someone starting a career in IT who can work independently, follow procedures, and grow technical knowledge through hands-on troubleshooting, password resets, and software updates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with common software applications.
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and follow technical instructions.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace.
• Ability to work independently, manage assigned tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Previous IT support or help desk experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic technical support to employees and users through email, phone, chat, or other communication channels.
• Troubleshoot common computer, software, internet connectivity, and login issues.
• Assist users with password resets, account access, and basic system navigation.
• Help install, configure, and update software and applications as needed.
• Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT personnel when necessary.
• Assist with basic hardware and peripheral troubleshooting, including printers, monitors, and other computer accessories.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with users and team members.
• Follow established IT procedures, security guidelines, and data privacy practices.
• Participate in training and continue developing technical knowledge and skills.
