Job summary

Fieldtrip is seeking a hands-on IT leader to own and build IT across ~200 people in 5+ agencies, delivering secure, scalable tech foundations and vendor management. You will drive BYOD policies, identity management, and baseline security while aligning with SOC 2 Type II and GDPR-grade governance.

You will partner with the COO and founders to design an IT function that scales with acquisitions, manages vendor stacks, and delivers measurable security and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on IT ownership at remote-first startups or agencies.
• Experience building an IT function from scratch or major restructuring.
• Deep BYOD security for a distributed contractor workforce.
• Strong identity and access management base (Azure AD + Google Workspace).
• Builder mindset; ship systems that run without you.
• Experience with NIST CSF / ISO 27001 / SOC 2 type II; GDPR/CCPA knowledge.
• Excellent written communication; documentation is a first-class deliverable.
