Job summary

Aon is seeking an IT Analyst - Business Systems Analysis to identify business needs, translate them into technical solutions, and guide requirements through the project lifecycle with business partners, developers, and testers.

This remote role requires strong analytical and communication skills to document requirements, perform impact analysis, prioritize initiatives, and ensure solutions align with objectives and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience gathering requirements, evaluating impacts, and defining solution scope.
• Experience leading requirements and solution efforts through the project lifecycle.
• Remote work: position is remote with occasional in-person meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and traceability activities.
• Consult with business partners and aligned technical and functional teams to define, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Conduct business process analysis, impact assessments, and solution prioritization for proposed changes and initiatives.
• Evaluate and recommend technical solutions that meet business objectives and operational needs.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between business partners, development teams, quality assurance, and other cross‑functional teams.
• Coordinate the build, development, testing, implementation, and post‑deployment activities throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Support software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities by partnering with build and development teams and providing input to release planning and deployment efforts.
• Carry out defect examination, identify underlying causes, and develop corrective action plans to facilitate problem solving and continual progress.
• Develop and review test scenarios, test plans, and test results to ensure appropriate coverage, requirements traceability, and encouraged outcomes.
• Participate in project planning, status reviews, sprint activities, and meetings with business partners and functional team to communicate progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Analyze business processes, find opportunities for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency and solution effectiveness.
• Ensure solutions align with business objectives, technical standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational guidelines.
