Job summary

ACS Professional Staffing is seeking a Technical Business Analyst 3 to lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for IT system implementations while translating business needs into functional and technical requirements.

The role partners with business users, technical teams, and vendors to drive process improvements, manage scope, and support solution design, testing, and stakeholder alignment in a remote, contract-based setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in information/computer technology, Business Systems, or related field preferred.
• 8 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in applicable fields.
• 10 years of experience with an associate's degree in applicable fields.
• 12 years of experience without a degree or applicable degree.
• Experience with custom development and commercial package implementations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with energy/utility sector projects.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proficiency with Jama requirements modeling tool.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, document, and track requirements to support IT system implementations.
• Identify and plan business analysis work to meet project needs.
• Recommend artifacts and level of detail for the business analysis effort.
• Plan the requirements gathering strategy and elicit customer requirements.
• Review regulations and policies to understand compliance requirements.
• Draft high quality, repeatable artifacts for use on future projects.
• Plan and conduct user/stakeholder interviews and job shadowing.
• Translate customer needs into product requirements for technical teams to implement.
• Document detailed descriptions and specifications of user needs and business rules.
