Job summary

Protect Democracy is seeking IT Associates to provide direct-to-user support, manage Apple devices via MDM, and promote a security-first culture across the organization. The role includes onboarding/offboarding support and helping administer Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in IT support, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset. This remote-first position may involve occasional travel for team events and training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT experience in a help desk or systems administration role.
• Experience administering Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 instances.
• Comfort with using and supporting Apple products.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for solving technology problems for users with varying levels of expertise.
• Ability to multitask projects and priorities with a detail-oriented approach and big-picture perspective.
• Ability to foster collaborative relationships and work in a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct-to-user support and monitor the MSP help desk system to ensure optimal staff support.
• Purchase and manage inventory of technology assets and accessories for staff and the organization.
• Ensure all devices are logged into and managed by the Mobile Device Management (MDM) application.
• Ensure timely software updates and monitor hardware and software security and critical events.
• Assist in user onboarding and offboarding by creating and deleting accounts across technology platforms.
• Assist with systems administration in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and other applications to improve efficiency, security, and effectiveness.
• Contribute to technology initiatives and training, including deployment of cybersecurity trainings and phishing/smishing tests.
• Support special projects requiring IT expertise in implementations.
