Collins Aerospace, a RTX business, is seeking a Director of Intellectual Property / USG Data Rights to lead IP engagement, advise senior management on patents, trade secrets, trademarks and copyrights, and oversee IP strategy and disclosures across major programs.

You will collaborate with engineers, counsel and commercial teams to protect innovations, negotiate IP terms, and monitor third-party filings. This is a remote role with travel up to 10% and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide IP guidance to senior management, general counsel, engineers and commercial teams on patent, trade secret, trademark and copyright matters.
• Negotiate IP-related agreements and IP aspects of broader agreements with customers, suppliers and partners.
• Develop and implement IP strategies aligned with business goals across key products and technologies.
• Identify protectable inventions and supervise patent applications with engineers and outside counsel.
• Monitor third-party patents and assess infringement risk and validity to address risks before products enter the market.
