Job summary

Ethos is seeking an experienced IP counsel to help train AI-language models on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. The role requires 4+ years in trademark and/or copyright law, with direct drafting or review of filings and infringement opinions.

You will craft high-quality documents and slides, manage licensing reviews, and handle docket tracking. The position is fully remote with flexible hours (5–20 hours per week), offering $100/hour with a cap of $2,000 per week.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with 4+ years practicing trademark and/or copyright law
• Direct ownership of drafting or reviewing trademark filings, office-action responses, or infringement opinions
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Practice trademark and copyright law related to AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slides
• Draft or review trademark filings, office-action responses, and infringement opinions
• Review licensing and assignment agreements; manage cease-and-desist communications; maintain docket trackers
