Job summary

Ethos is seeking an expert Copyright/Trademark Counsel to support a leading AI lab. The remote role offers flexible hours and a pay rate of $100/hour, with potential up to $2,000 per week based on 5–20 hours weekly.

Qualified attorneys will have 4+ years in trademark or copyright practice, direct drafting/reviewing of filings, and exceptional document craftsmanship with precise communication.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with 4+ years practicing trademark and/or copyright law at a law firm or in-house IP team.
• Direct ownership of drafting or reviewing trademark filings, office-action responses, or infringement opinions.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship with excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows.
• Work on trademark clearance and registrability opinions, office-action responses, copyright infringement and fair-use analyses.
• Review licensing and assignment agreements, cease-and-desist correspondence, and portfolio/docket trackers.
