Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an Intellectual Property Counsel to support a legal AI project on a remote, part-time basis. The role focuses on contract drafting, negotiation, and redlining within technology transactions, with emphasis on MSAs, NDAs, and DPAs.

You will review AI-generated legal responses, provide precise feedback, and help develop evaluation playbooks and standards to improve AI systems’ ability to assess contractual risk and apply sound judgment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of counsel experience focused on technology transactions.
• Strong experience negotiating MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, and related commercial agreements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform simulated contract drafting, negotiation, and redlining exercises.
• Review and evaluate AI responses to contract and negotiation scenarios.
• Provide precise legal feedback to improve AI accuracy and reasoning.
• Develop objective evaluation frameworks, playbooks, and grading criteria for contract-related tasks.
• Collaborate with product and research teams to refine legal guidelines, datasets, and best practices.
• Assess contractual risks and provide practical recommendations based on technology transaction experience.
