Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Counsel to support an innovative legal AI project on a part-time, contractor basis. You will apply your expertise to review contract scenarios, negotiate and redline documents, and provide actionable feedback to improve AI-driven legal outputs.

Responsibilities include developing evaluation playbooks, framing objective criteria, and collaborating with product and research teams to refine guidelines. A J.D., active U.S.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of counsel experience focused on technology transactions.
• Strong experience negotiating MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, and related commercial agreements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate legal expertise into clear, actionable feedback for AI systems.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform simulated contract drafting, negotiation, and redlining exercises.
• Review and evaluate AI responses to contract and negotiation scenarios.
• Provide precise legal feedback to improve AI accuracy and reasoning.
• Develop objective evaluation frameworks, playbooks, and grading criteria for contract-related tasks.
• Collaborate with product and research teams to refine legal guidelines, datasets, and best practices.
• Assess contractual risks and provide practical recommendations based on technology transaction experience.
