Job summary

YO AI Labs seeks an experienced Intellectual Property Counsel (Contractor) to support an AI-driven legal project remotely. The role focuses on technology transactions, contract drafting, negotiation, and redlining, with a strong emphasis on actionable feedback to AI systems.

The candidate will review AI-generated legal content, develop standards, and collaborate with product teams to refine guidelines and best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of counsel experience focused on technology transactions.
• Strong experience negotiating MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, and related commercial agreements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform simulated contract drafting, negotiation, and redlining exercises.
• Review and evaluate AI responses to contract and negotiation scenarios.
• Provide precise legal feedback to improve AI accuracy and reasoning.
• Develop objective evaluation frameworks, playbooks, and grading criteria for contract-related tasks.
• Collaborate with product and research teams to refine legal guidelines, datasets, and best practices.
• Assess contractual risks and provide practical recommendations based on technology transaction experience.
