Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Solutions Integration Engineer to help our most strategic customers build and implement B2B integrations with our IoT platform. You’ll map customer needs to API capabilities, build custom integrations, train implementation teams, and advocate for fixes with our support teams to ensure successful relationships.

You’ll work across product, operations, sales, and systems engineering, gaining exposure to multiple facets of a hyper-growth company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing and developing Integration solutions using proven architecture methodologies.
• Experience gathering data integration requirements and translating into good technical data designs.
• Proficient in leveraging LLM-based tools for code generation, prompt engineering, automation, and enhancing developer productivity.
• Experience with agentic workflows, including design, orchestration, and deployment of multi-agent systems for enterprise use cases.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with modern Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs/Webhooks and modern databases.
• Knowledge of PowerBI/Tableau, SQL, and data visualization concepts is a huge plus.
• Hands-on experience with customer evaluations and deployments, managing multiple customer engagements in parallel.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with diverse stakeholders including C-Level executives.
• Strong written communication and presentation skills; experience with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Experience with Modern Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Lead system integration projects with customer development teams, Samsara’s partners, and 3rd-party integrators, or build enterprise-grade scalable solutions using Samsara’s Web integration technologies.
• Design/develop/define complex project scopes, technical specifications and business requirements between Samsara and multiple stakeholders.
• Plan complex projects with dependencies, uncertainty, risk and impact; make delivery commitments for larger projects.
• Ensure maintainability, portability, scalability, and reliability in designs; balance with speed of delivery.
• Build robust and scalable integration architecture for Real-time Data Streaming, Event subscriptions, Batch processing.
• Build, test, validate, and review code for high-quality deliverables.
• Advise and document best practices around integrations using Samsara APIs and products.
• Mentor through thorough code reviews and actionable feedback.
• Share knowledge with product teams, developer community, and customers to improve API experience.
• Collaborate with Developer EcoSystem team to improve API experience and features.
