Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking an Inventory Planning & Control Manager to govern inventory policy across the Commercial Materials network. You will align IBP processes with demand, delivery, and working capital goals.

This role requires 7+ years in inventory analysis, ERP/MRP experience, and strong Excel skills. You will drive availability, minimize excess, and provide executive reporting to leadership. Remote or hybrid work options are available for this Buffalo, NY-based position, with a focus on

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline required.
7+ years of experience in inventory analysis, financial analysis, or statistical/data reporting to drive insights.
Working knowledge of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and related concepts (demand/supply balancing, production planning, scheduling, purchasing, forecasting, and inventory control).
Experience using ERP and MRP systems.
SAP is preferred; SAP S/4HANA and Kinaxis experience are a plus.
Ability to analyze variances, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Strong problem-solving skills with understanding of how planning changes impact delivery and working capital.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate effectively across the organization.
Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables for data analysis and BOM decisions.
Experience in regulated aerospace/defense manufacturing; AS9100 knowledge preferred.
APICS CPIM/CSCP, CPM, or PMP certifications preferred.
Ability to obtain access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

Own the governance and control of inventory policy across the Commercial Materials network, balancing supply and delivery against inventory cost.
Establish, implement, and monitor inventory management processes to support on-time delivery and optimal levels.
Develop and maintain inventory targets, policies, and controls including safety stock, min/max, reorder parameters, and data accuracy.
Represent inventory within IBP process with positions, projections, and risk assessments during reviews.
Translate plans into actionable inventory strategies and decisions.
Drive near-term material availability through Integrated Tactical Planning.
Develop strategies to minimize excess and obsolete inventory while maintaining service levels.
Monitor inventory KPIs and provide insights to leadership.
Develop executive-level dashboards on turns, days of supply, accuracy, and fill rates.
Establish processes to identify risks and escalate issues impacting inventory performance.
Partner with Global Commercial Materials, Operations, Supply Chain and Programs to identify constraints and risks.
Lead problem-solving across sites and coordinate communications.
Own cycle count strategy, governance, compliance, accuracy, RCA, and corrective actions.
Lead continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve service and capability.
