Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk for its remote operations team. You will maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies to ensure data integrity across systems.

The role requires strong Excel skills and experience with inventory management software. A high school diploma is required, with additional inventory management certifications a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control, stocktaking, or a similar role.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Good communication skills for virtual collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to verify stock accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system inventory and physical counts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Track the movement of goods into and out of inventory.
• Generate inventory reports, including stock levels, aging inventory, and valuation.
• Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures and policies.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and report findings to management.
• Collaborate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
• Monitor stockroom organization and cleanliness to facilitate accurate counting.
• Support month-end and year-end inventory closing procedures.
