Job summary

CIEE is seeking a Camp Placement Specialist to place international participants at U.S. summer camps.

The role spans recruitment, onboarding, placement, pre-departure, and arrival, with a focus on matching needs and building strong camp partner relationships. The ideal candidate has camp staffing or director experience, excellent communication skills, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of camp staffing or camp director experience.
• Domestic and international travel required; US-based remote with proximity to a major airport.
• Experience with international exchange programs encouraged.
• Strong computer skills: MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook; Salesforce preferred.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and match camp counselor applicants to US host camps based on needs.
• Onboard and sell CIEE's Camp Counselor program to prospective hosts.
• Coordinate in-person and virtual hiring events with applicants, representatives, and hosts.
• Prospect and cold call to gather information about camp hiring needs.
• Monitor placement trends and improve placement rates.
• Maintain relationships with US summer camps (directors, HR, owners).
• Provide consultation on hiring needs and BridgeUSA program success.
• Promote CIEE domestically at regional and national trade shows.
• Travel domestically for site visits; travel internationally as needed.
• Collaborate with Seasonal Exchanges teams to ensure a positive participant experience.
• Maintain an accurate sales database and team inbox.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
