Job summary

CIEE Inc. is seeking a Camp Placement Specialist to coordinate the placement of international campers at U.S. summer camps. You will manage recruitment, onboarding, placement, pre-departure, and arrival, aligning with CIEE's mission and values.

The role requires strong relationship-building and sales/recruitment experience, a camp background, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally. The CIEE Camp Counselor program enables thousands to participate each year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of camp staffing or camp director experience.
• Domestic and international travel willingness; based near a major airport in the U.S.
• Experience in international exchange programs encouraged.
• Proficient with MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Salesforce.
• Ability to work across teams and tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Onboard, track, monitor, and match camp counselor applicants to U.S. host camps.
• Onboard and sell Camp Counselor program to prospective camp hosts.
• Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate international in-person and virtual hiring events.
• Prospect and cold call to collect camp hiring needs and onboard new camps.
• Monitor participant review notes and placement rates to look for trends and increase placements.
• Foster ongoing relationships with U.S. summer camps (directors, HR reps, owners).
• Provide consultation with hosts regarding hiring needs and creating a successful BridgeUSA program.
• Promote CIEE domestically at regional and national trade shows.
• Travel domestically during the summer for site visits.
• Work with Seasonal Exchanges to ensure a successful program experience.
• Maintain an accurate sales database and team inbox.
• Travel internationally as needed to support placement goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
