Job summary

Welltower Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager to join an in‑house team focused on apartment interior remodeling. This role is hands‑on and requires delivering high‑quality workmanship across multiple sites. The position is remote with travel and must reside in the San Jose, Fremont, or surrounding areas.

You will plan, oversee, and execute interior renovations, manage procurement and budgets, coordinate with managers and subcontractors, and report progress to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in interior residential construction or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple sites.
• Ability to read blueprints, use a tape measure accurately, and perform basic math.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize multiple tasks safely.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on renovation tasks, including demolition, cabinet installation, door hardware replacement, drywall work, and finish carpentry.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee multiple interior renovation projects, ensuring efficient workflow and deadlines.
• Participate in project meetings with on-site team and relevant parties to discuss progress and coordination.
• Collaborate with property managers, vendors, suppliers and subcontractors for materials and alignment.
• Conduct quality control checks and report progress to leadership.
• Generate reports and track project progress, communicating updates to senior leadership.
• Procurement of construction materials and supplies according to project specifications and budgets.
• Manage project budgets, control costs, and optimize labor and materials.
