Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Construction Manager to drive construction and renovation projects across acquisitions and existing apartment portfolios. Start remote with a Dallas, TX on-site office as we establish leadership, with travel up to 50% to support vendors, contractors, and inspections.

The role requires a Bachelor's in construction management and 5+ years in multifamily construction, including new builds, renovations, and rehab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction/building science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of multifamily construction experience; renovation and rehab experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating with owners, architects, and subcontractors on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and inspect contractor work; provide feedback to improve safety, cost, and efficiency.
• Lead construction meetings; distribute minutes; track change orders and issues from PM staff.
• Maintain project logs (RFIs, submittals, docs, FF&E, close-out) and produce progress reports.
• Prepare and monitor budgets and schedules; develop scopes of work and job specs.
• Perform pricing, take-offs, estimates, and communicate with stakeholders across departments.
• Administer contracts; process pay apps, change orders, inspections, and records.
• Conduct due diligence inspections, assess property conditions and costs, and prepare DD reports.
• Compile rebate applications and liaise with third-party testers and utilities.
