Job summary

Kind Behavioral Health, a leading ABA provider serving North Carolina, seeks an Intake Specialist to support families from initial inquiry to service start. This remote role requires coordination with clinical, scheduling, and authorization teams to ensure a seamless, compassionate experience.

The ideal candidate maintains HIPAA compliance, manages intake information in the EMR, and helps improve throughput while delivering outstanding customer service to caregivers and clinicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3-4 years experience serving as an intake specialist (or equivalent role) with demonstrated success managing client intake operations.
• Bachelor's degree preferred with 2+ years experience in intake operations.
• Experience using practice management software (CentralReach preferred) and Excel or reporting tools to monitor metrics.
• Exposure to continuous improvement work to streamline processes and improve intake throughput.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of consultations, tours, and assessments.
• Communicate with clients, families, caregivers, and referral partners regarding appointment details and documentation.
• Serve as first-line support for routine questions and direct clinical questions appropriately.
• Enter, upload, and maintain records within the EMR system with accuracy and timeliness.
• Track case progress across intake stages and support care navigation.
