Job summary

LifeStance Health Inc. is seeking an Insurance Verification Coordinator for a remote US position.

You will verify patient eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements to support revenue cycle operations, ensuring services are financially cleared before treatment. You will use Phreesia and EHR systems to review data, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with front-office teams to maintain accurate patient records and payer compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical insurance verification or healthcare revenue cycle.
• Knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and EAP structures.
• Understanding of prior authorization and referral processes.
• Experience using EHR, automated billing systems, and Phreesia.

Responsibilities

• Verify eligibility and benefits for new and established patients via payer portals.
• Perform ongoing re-verifications to ensure active coverage throughout treatment.
• Identify, obtain, and document prior authorization, pre-certification, and referrals.
• Submit or facilitate authorization requests and ensure recordings in billing system.
• Maintain complete documentation in the EHR and practice management systems.
• Resolve front-end revenue cycle issues and assist with rebilling when needed.
