Qualifications

• Prior experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, insurance verification, or medical billing is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working with computers, office software, and electronic reporting systems.
• Ability to work independently and stay productive in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
• Review insurance coverage, deductible, co-pays, and patient financial responsibilities
• Collect patient co-pays, self-pay balances, and applicable deductible amounts.
• Run, review and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports as needed.
• Monitor accounts and identify outstanding balances or discrepancies.
• Communicate professionally with patients regarding insurance coverage and financial responsibilities.
• Maintain consistent communication and availability during regular business hours.
• Complete additional administrative duties as needed.
