Job summary

Vail Health is seeking an Insurance Verification Representative. This full-time role verifies insurance eligibility and benefits before services, assigns payer codes in the EHR, and communicates coverage details to patients. Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• Insurance verification or healthcare experience preferred.
• At least one year of experience using Epic for Physical or Occupational Therapy workflows preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to scheduled appointments.
• Identify and assign payer plan codes in the EHR.
• Communicate coverage and eligibility details to patients.
• Obtain missing demographic and insurance information as needed.
• Coordinate primary/secondary payer liability and pre-authorizations.
• Escalate complex cases and inform patients or offices of issues.
