Job summary

CORA Physical Therapy seeks an Insurance Verification Coordinator to verify insurance coverage for therapy benefits, communicate details to patients and staff, and manage financial responsibilities. This remote role supports patient admissions, with strong emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and timely reporting.

A full-time, remote position across Eastern and Central time zones is offered. You’ll work with EMR and office procedures, leveraging Excel and MS Office to streamline processes

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel formulas.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented problem solver in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Preferred: experience in medical insurance claims, verification, or precertification.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage for therapy benefits, co-payments, limitations, and visit approvals.
• Communicate benefit details to patients and practice staff.
• Advise patients on financial responsibility (copay/deductible amounts and payment expectations).
• Maintain daily reports to track authorizations and scheduling needs.
• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
