Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive growth by generating new business, cross-selling existing customers, and building lasting relationships in local markets.

You will sell to local customers in person and over the phone, develop a strong sales pipeline, and collaborate with leadership on local marketing initiatives while staying informed on products and underwriting guidelines.

Qualifications

• 0 – 2 years of experience
• P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners) to support business growth
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations
