Job summary

Vertafore, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, seeks a Senior Consultant for the Professional Services team to drive successful SaaS implementations for MGA clients. You will gather requirements, configure solutions, perform data conversions, train users, and collaborate with product, engineering, and stakeholders to align project goals with business priorities.

You will manage end-to-end project lifecycles, mentor peers, and ensure high-quality deliverables, while traveling up to 10% and working

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience working as a Consultant in the MGA insurance industry.
• 5+ years of experience in a Professional Services organization.
• Strong knowledge of insurance business practices and structure.
• Broad knowledge of policy administration systems, raters, and other insurance business applications.
• Experience with enterprise customers.
• Knowledge of insurance accounting practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with PMBOK or similar project management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation efforts for complex projects, including requirement gathering, analysis, documentation, and execution of business needs, functional and non-functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.
• Manage the full lifecycle of enterprise SaaS implementation projects from kickoff to user acceptance testing, training, and delivery.
• Execute data conversion tasks, author project deliverables, and provide application configuration consulting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work with the technical implementation team to ensure technical requirements are understood and completed.
• Work closely with product and engineering to ensure customer feedback informs roadmap and prioritization.
• Collaborate with project sponsors and stakeholders to align objectives with PS goals.
• Communicate project deliverables at all levels, ensuring completion on time, within budget, with high quality.
• Participate in planning, scoping calls, and estimation including writing SOWs.
• Understand customer needs and translate them into configurable requirements and implementations.
• Mentor and guide other consultants to share best practices.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, adapt to a dynamic software environment.
