Job summary

MEDHOST, a division of Harris, is seeking an Account Follow-Up Representative I in a remote capacity across the United States. The role focuses on reviewing and resolving outstanding insurance balances for hospital patient accounts, with wage range of $18–$26 per hour and preference for CST or EST time zones.

The successful candidate will learn multiple hospital systems, perform research, rebill processes, and document actions to resolve unpaid claims while maintaining HIPAA compliance and data

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years' experience in related field preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and adhere to department standards.

Responsibilities

• Timely follow-up on outstanding insurance balances.
• Review claim status, rebill, and route accounts for resolution.
• Communicate with insurance companies to obtain payment.
• Document research findings and next steps for resolution.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect PHI.
