Job summary

MEDHOST, a division of Harris, is seeking an Account Follow-up Representative I to review and resolve outstanding insurance balances for hospital patient accounts. This remote role supports the US with preference for CST/EST zones. Wage range $18–$26/hr, with focus on timely AR resolution and research across payors.

Ideal candidates will handle 30–40 accounts daily, communicate with insurers, and maintain HIPAA compliance while learning multiple hospital systems and contributing to team projects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years experience in related field.
• Strong communication and math skills.
• Able to work with HIPAA guidelines.
• Proficient with basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Timely follow-up on hospital patient accounts to resolve outstanding insurance balances.
• Handle ~30–40 patient accounts per day for assigned payors.
• Communicate with insurance companies to obtain payments.
• Document research findings and next steps toward resolution.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to privacy standards.
• Input time and attend team/department meetings.
