Job summary

Law Firms in Texas is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing practice. The role offers 100% remote work with a hybrid option from the Dallas office, and targets 1,600–1,800 billable hours, reflecting a fast-paced civil litigation environment where you collaborate with experienced litigators.

You will manage cases from inception to resolution, draft pleadings and discovery, take depositions, prepare for hearings and trial, and advise clients on exposure.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
• Experience handling insurance defense or complex civil litigation matters.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage cases, prioritize deadlines, and communicate effectively with clients.
• Trial preparation and courtroom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, attend hearings, and prepare cases for trial.
• Develop litigation strategies, evaluate liability and damages, and advise clients on case exposure.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and expert witnesses.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to deliver effective, client‑focused representation.
