Job summary

Prevail Recruiting is seeking a partner-level attorney for a fast-growing national insurance defense firm in Texas. This is a fully remote role with optional hybrid, and a 1,850 billable hour target, with no portable book of business required.

You will manage an active civil litigation docket, draft motions, take depositions, and represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations and trials. Requires 6+ years in civil litigation or insurance defense, a valid Texas bar, and strong writing

Qualifications

• 6+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas bar license in good standing.
• Strong command of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Exceptional writing, research and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to run a docket with minimal supervision.
• Professional communication with clients, adjusters and opposing counsel.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active litigation docket.
• Draft and argue motions, including summary judgment and discovery motions.
• Take depositions of parties, witnesses and experts.
• Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations and trials.
• Prepare clients, adjusters, witnesses and experts for testimony.
• Evaluate claims, assess exposure and communicate strategy to carriers and clients.
