The attorney will handle matters from inception to resolution, with direct access to senior attorneys and clients. A remote work arrangement is available for qualified attorneys, with a competitive base salary and 15% origination credit.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of general insurance defense experience.
• Admitted to the Texas Bar.
• Strong civil litigation background.
• First-party property insurance experience highly desirable.
• Property claims experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle first-party property and coverage-related disputes.
• Develop litigation and settlement strategy.
• Draft pleadings, motions and written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Evaluate liability, damages and exposure.
• Work directly with insurers and commercial clients.
• Negotiate settlements; prepare matters for mediation and trial.
