Job summary

MEDHOST is seeking an Account Follow-up Representative I to review and resolve outstanding insurance balances for hospital patient accounts. You will learn multiple hospital systems, conduct research, and handle basic outstanding claims to close accounts receivable efficiently.

The role is remote for candidates across the United States, with preference for CST or EST time zones. Wage is $18–$26 per hour, and the position offers opportunities to grow within the finance and revenue cycle teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Experience in medical billing or accounts receivable preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA privacy and security standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Timely follow-up on outstanding insurance payments and verify claim status.
• Rebill to insurance and prorate to correct financial class as needed.
• Communicate with payors to secure payment of balances.
• Document research findings and next steps clearly.
• Prioritize and manage multiple accounts to meet deadlines.
