Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance in Lansing, MI is seeking a motivated individual to assist policyholders with servicing policies and evaluating coverages for cross-selling opportunities. After initial training in person, this role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.

You will communicate with policyholders, answer questions, and learn underwriting guidelines to bind coverage on new business and renewals.

Qualifications

• Several years of related experience and/or training or Bachelor's degree is required.
• A minimum of two years of customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain the necessary resident and/or non-resident licenses.

Responsibilities

• Assist policyholders with servicing policies and evaluating coverages.
• Answer policyholder questions in coordination with other departments.
• Learn frontline underwriting under company guidelines and rules for new business, renewals, and endorsements.
• Coordinate with lenders and mortgage companies.
• Bind coverage for policyholders per eligibility rules.
• Collect pertinent information from policyholders to open claims.
